i have scanned my first colour oil painting. looking back now...i see so many mistakes (hee hee my branches look funny), but that's good because i will know where to improve. lol i've been working on another one (it's really big) but takes so long....and i've been lazy ^^;

This is really beautiful! I wish I could paint with oils.. I've never tried really, it seems kinda hard and intimadating! So good job :D

i use the windsor and newton ones, water mixable (cuz i get lightheaded from turpentine lol).

ok, well, my mother has been playing with oils and has asked me to find someone to ask, and I liked your work a lot so I thoguht I'd ask. It would probably be better for her to use those she doesn't need to be any more lightheaded than she already is. Thanks and good job on your painting.

i think you should try because it's not really hard. have you ever done acrylics? it's kidna like that. and if you don't like using strong smelling chemicals, try water mixable oil paints, because.....you can MIX WITH WATER :lol:! don't worry. with practice, i'm sure you'll be painting like a pro in no time! ^_^
